UPCOMING EVENTS​​​​

  • BARNES & NOBLE BOOK FAIR -- Friday, December 15th through Thursday, December 21st, online and in- store.  Kick-off event is Friday, December 15th from 6-9PM at the Troy Barnes & Noble (on the east side of John R, just north of 14 Mile Road) with ROHS instrumental music students providing the holiday music and volunteers offering free gift-wrapping (donations happily accepted).  Using the code on THIS FLYER, your purchase will benefit the ROHS Instrumental Music Program.  You can use the code in ANY Barnes & Noble store, or online (by following the directions on the flyer).  Click HERE to volunteer at the kick-off event.
  • JINGLE BELL JAZZ -- Thursday, December 21st, 6-9PM, Royal Oak Farmers' Market.  Event flyer HERE. This year, this family event is a benefit for the Jordan & Ashley Siegel Scholarship Fund, which helps Royal Oak families and students who are experiencing financial hardships to enjoy extra-curricular programs.  "Brothers with Others" Professional Big Band is the "headliner," with the ROHS and ROMS jazz bands, as well as other special guests, joining them for this event.  We are also looking for sponsors to help support the event, as well as donations of gift cards/gift certificates/items for the Silent Auction held in conjunction with the event.  We also need food & paper goods donations, as well as many volunteers!  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jordan & Ashley Siegel Scholarship Fund.  Click HERE if you or your business are willing to sponsor or donate to this event.  Click HERE to donate Silent Auction items.  Click HERE to donate food/paper goods.  Click HERE to volunteer.
  • ​B&O CHICAGO TRIP -- April 13-16, 2018.  We are going to Chicago!  (Trip itinerary HERE.)  All students registered in an orchestra/band/marching band/jazz class in 2017-2018 are eligible to join us for a weekend trip to Chicago.  We will have clinics at VanderCook School of Music, take in museums and Navy Pier, sight see, enjoy shows and some great music!  Trip cost includes bus transportation (the fancy buses with all the bells and whistles), clinics, all museum and show admissions, hotel, hotel security, etc.  For more information and registration instructions, please click HERE.  NOTE:  You CAN register for the trip after May 15th.   Registering by May 15th enables you to pay in several smaller installments as opposed to one large payment.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 15, 2017!  (Registration after November 15th will still be possible, but will incur a $25 late fee.)
  • SHOPPING WITH ROHS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC -- Any time you are shopping on Amazon throughout the year, enter the Amazon website via smile.amazon.com.  Use your usual Amazon sign-in (or create one if you are new to Amazon), designate "Royal Oak High School Band and Orchestra Boosters" as your charity when asked, and then shop as usual.  A portion of your sale amount will go to the Boosters' General Fund for instrumental music department needs (instruments, music, clinicians, etc.).  Prices are the same, and your Amazon Prime membership will work through smile.amazon.com.  Click HERE for more information.
  • Shopping for party food stuffs at Gordon Foods?  When asked at check-out if you are shopping for a business/organization, tell them you are with "Royal Oak Band & Orchestra."  We earn points from each sale that accumulate for discounts when Boosters' are getting supplies for events.

  • Gordon Food Service -- When you shop at Gordon Foods, at checkout let them know that you are shopping for "Royal Oak Bands & Orchestras" and ROHS B&O Boosters will receive discount points to use on supplies.
  • Amazon Smiles -- Shop Amazon?  Do your Amazon shopping through AmazonSmiles, and a portion of your sale goes to the Boosters' General Fund.  Follow this LINK to get started.
